Don’t leave Earth without it!
Mon, Apr 12 (4:30pm - 5:30pm)
Online
Description
On April 12, 2021, it will be 60 years since Yuri Gagarin became the first person in space. Now, a tiny outpost of humans orbits over our heads in the International Space Station, and many propose that it’s time for Earthlings to become a multiplanetary species by settling on Mars.
But what do we need to survive the rigours of life in space? Based on a study of the International Space Station, space archaeologist Alice Gorman looks at ten artefacts you shouldn’t leave Earth without. Some of them are things you may already have in your own home.
Followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A, this is an event not to be missed.
If you wish to attend in person, please register here.
